Catherine and Greg

Catherine and Greg were married in Mill Valley on July, 26th, 2009.  Mill Valley is a quaint little town just north of San Francisco at the base of Mt. Tamalpais.  It's got this beautiful, rustic, ski town feeling to it. 

The ceremony was held in a grove of redwood trees on the South end of town.  And although the grove was pretty much in between two streets, it was incredibly quiet and serene.  And to top it off the weather was perfect - calm, warm and gorgeous.

After the ceremony Catherine and Greg walked to the Mill Valley Art and Garden center on other end of town.  It was a short walk and allowed them some time alone (and some time to play in the street..; ))

These remaining shots are all taken at the Mill Valley Art and Garden center - some during the preparation and some onsite portraits (there are some fantastic portrait locations here).

Aubrey and Aidan were married on 8.8.09 at Vinter's Inn in Santa Rosa. These guys have to be some of the coolest, most comfortable people I've ever photographed. Aubrey was game to try pretty much anything I could toss her way, and Aidan was more than happy to oblige my crazy shooting scenarios. So, a tip to any bride and groom - the more you're cool with trying new things, the better your photos will appear.

The series in this post was done in the vineyard at Vinter's Inn around sunset (7:45PM). Here's another tip: Make sure you plan some time during the dinner to sneak away from the crowd. That's the time of the best light, and it's also the time when you're least likely to be missed.
